Amazing Harvest Donations!

23rd November 2024

We are now entirely through our Harvest Festival Season and have had an unbelievably generous amount of donations.

Thanks to everyone at Joydens Wood, St. Michael’s, High Firs, Hextable, St. Mary’s, St. Bartholomew’s, Crockenhill, Grace’s Day Nursery & Anthony Roper who have all chosen to collect for Swanley Foodbank this year, in addition to many of the churches in the area.  We are genuinely overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone.

Emma, the manager of the foodbank, has been fortunate enough to be invited into several schools to speak about our work and has been so impressed by the knowledge, compassion and engagement by the children she has encountered.  Clearly the schools in the Swanley, Hextable, Crockenhill and Otford areas are doing a wonderful job with their pupils!  Additionally, we were delighted to receive several deliveries of the donations directly to the foodbank with some of the children as the couriers. Our final delivery was from the youngest of all our donors, Grace’s Nursery who took the bus to come and see us.  🙂

Thank you to you all and we hope to see you again next year for more Harvest fun!
